The Dream

The location: Kentucky lake and a store.

The fact that I remember it was Kentucky is pretty bizarre I know but that is how my dreams roll. I don’t know why it was the Bluegrass State. I haven’t been in the state in several years and usually it is just a drive-through. However, I do have a Facebook friend who lives in Louisville. Maybe it snuck in that way?

Cast of characters: One good friend and one friend of a friend of a friend (FOFOF) that I have only seen a few times in the past year. I don’t even know FOFOF’s name. Both are male.

Supporting characters: big black guy with bad 80s looking hair in green t-shirt, store worker who looked a lot like FOFOF. Girl shopper.

The gist: My two fellow revelers and I were lakeside at some sort of festival. It wasn’t a music festival. It was some kind of “go crazy” thing like Burning Man. I felt drunk throughout the dream.

One day we went to a small Kmart type store to buy things to make into costumes. We were dressed as pirates, trying on different hats and pushing each other around in shopping carts. Several people from the festival were there shopping as well.

Crazy details: I remember seeing both Cincinnati Reds and then Atlanta Braves (my fav. team) items for sale in the store. Should a dreamer be able to comprehend that Kentucky is close to Cincy?

Scary part: At one point I got stuck at the end of a narrow aisle because the store worker doppelganger was doing work on a shelf with large piece of plywood on one side of me and the big black guy with bad hair was stuck trying to get something out of the other end of the aisle. Scary level: 1 out of 5
